2009 UCI world cup curcuit
results for mens DH
Not too much of a surprise in first, but you cant help but note Mick's 2nd place at his first world cup in a year and a half.. the best explanation for this? He's Australian and burly fit. I predict Micks gonna wreck some havoc on worlds this year, he's got what it takes and he knows it!
Andrew Neethling landed himself in 14th place here, yet managed to cut three seconds off his time last week. Makes you wonder..
The U.S.A. made a prominent appearance with Duncan landing himself 12th! and Aaron Gwin in 17th.

My favorite time of the year..
Shredders are blooming, the smell of BBQs and blunts in the air, trails are drying up and the 2009 racing season is underway!
The DH finals are tomarrow in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa at the very first stop on the 2009 world cup circuit. After a second place on the same course last weekend at the South African national race, our boy Neethling here is definately someone to watch for..Im betting a top 5 finish for sure. Slick Mick came outta a year off racing for a super quick top qualifying spot, but to be honest, my $ is on Minaar. duh haha

Fluidride cup
heres some pics Tom Ewing snagged while at port angeles last weekend
Jack and Rhys with the bandaged thumb. sounds like it should be go for the next race. I just found out the 2nd race in the Fluidride series got moved to PA because there is still too much snow on hood, so the 3rd stop will be at mt Hood july 12th and 13th.

And just when you though you couldnt take it anymore..
Nothin but sun this weekend and it was definatley an eventful one.. The first race of the Fluidride series was in Port Angeles on sunday. Sounds like it was all around percieved as an awesome race course. Rhys ewing had some bad luck and got sidelined with a broken thumb from practice, Jack Hill pulled a decent one together for the first race of the year wit a mid-pack result in sport. Theres even rumors of a certain 2nd gen prototype race bike bein tried out..
Me? I spent the weekend at Harvest, doin my best to help pack(tag) the jumps. The whole small line is rideable with exception of the very soft hip before the step up.. also, I got rid of my 6 year old nokia and moved up in life.
Next time More Pics and less talking I promise haha
